Introducing Delicious Tayberry and Elderflower Belgravia & Tobago
As the evenings get lighter, the birds start to sing and flowers are in bloom - spring is well and truly upon us.
Make the most of spring this year by discovering the vigorous, aromatic taste sensation of Belgravia & Tobago’s new Tayberry & Elderflower - a refreshing cordial bursting with flavour.
Combining fragrant flower heads from the elder tree, exotic spices and the sharp taste of the tayberry, the mouth watering cordial creates a delicious, crisp taste perfect for entertaining this Easter.
Not only does it taste fantastic but the key ingredients also have great health benefits:
Tayberry
Rich in vitamin C and full of anti-oxidants the tayberry is a fusion of a blackberry and a raspberry with a sharp and juicy flavour. Originally grown in Scotland, it’s a large deep reddish-purple berry, long and narrow in shape. The tayberry can be enjoyed on its own and is commonly used in puddings and jams.
Elderflower
Elderflowers are extracted flowers of the elder tree and have a classic fragrant taste. They have a number of uses and can be transformed into a variety used in foods and drink. Elderflowers are high in vitamin C and can reduce the symptoms of hayfever. Elderflowers are also a mild astringent and have healing and soothing properties to the skin.
Pimentoberry
The steamed distilled oil from the dried unripe fruit of the West IndianTree. The trees grow in abundance in many of the West Indian islands, particularly Jamaica. Pimentoberry can help with muscular pains, respiratory problems it aids digestion and can assist the nervous system with stress related disorders.
Bergamot
Coming from the bergamot orange, this is a small pear shaped citrus fruit that is produced in Italy. Bergamot oil has digestive properties and is an essential oil that is used in Earl Grey tea.
New Belgravia & Tobago Elderflower and Tayberry is available in Tesco, Waitrose and Booths from April 2007.
